Hi, I'm Naomi...Nomie....Nomes, I am 29 year old mom of 3 and I still play with dolls. The one thing I love more then playing is creating, I get so giddy over brand new patterns, so much delight in learning a new technique and nothing really explains the pride in a job well done.

I love making and sharing my dolls, but beyond that I want to inspire others to do so. Imagine the look of joy your kiddo gets when he or she opens a new toy, now time it by a million when they find out you made it. Your time, effort and love is pored into that and it means so much more then any plastic high priced gadget that you'd get at the store...bonus it can cost a lot less!

I was not sure where to start at first, thus why it took so long for me to finally post, but I think I need to dive right in and get started. I'm going to mix doll making tips, tutorials and pattern reviews in with chronicles of my own doll making journeys, as well as sprinkles of home and family tid-bits I pick up as I work to find the homemaker inside myself.

My next post will be going over some doll making basics and lingo. I will also have some recommendations for good beginner level patterns.
